New Partners of Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center (CHSC) invites you to the 8th Annual Cleveland Big Wheel Relay – a 2x award winning race! Over the past seven years, this event has raised over $210,000 in support of CHSC.

It’s probably been awhile since you’ve ridden on one of these awesome little trikes. Maybe somewhere around 20 years … maybe more? Well, we’re changing that, one big kid at a time! We’re responsible for bringing the big wheel craze back to Cleveland, for folks both young and young at heart!

With 32 teams competing against each other for the ultimate prize, wearing silly costumes, and racing on the Huffy Green Machine trikes, you surely will feel like a kid again! It’s easy to create a team of four. To race, each team is required to hit a minimum fundraising mark of $400. We have fundraising ideas available to help you achieve that goal. Are you our next top fundraiser? A team get prizes for their hard work raising money for a great cause!

Get creative with your team name and don’t forget to wear silly costumes, there’s a prize for that too! Who’s going to be last place? We hope that isn’t you, but prizes will be awarded for dead last place to thank you for your efforts!

During the race, spectators and teams who are out of the competition will have the opportunity to have fun with the final four teams and make the race extra challenging! You can also enjoy a cornhole competition with your friends. All in attendance can help support CHSC by purchasing a variety of delicious food and drink offerings that will be provided by food and drink vendors. Great prizes will also be raffled off among the trikes used in the races, we have kicked it up a notch this year!

We hope you can join us for a fun-filled day for the 8th Annual Cleveland Big Wheel Relay! Save the date for Saturday, June, 20th! To learn more about the big wheel craze, check out our 2020 Event Details and In the News page.

“The Cleveland Big Wheel Relay will give participants and spectators alike the opportunity to have a lot of fun while helping to raise funds for CHSC programs that help individuals with communication challenges in 14 surrounding countries become independent members of the Greater Cleveland Community.”  Anna Marie Murphy, Event Founder and CHSC Board Member

“Cleveland Hearing & Speech [Center] introduced our family to a new world of sound with the Baha® Softband. Without them, we didn’t know what to do. We got support groups, play dates with other deaf children, and the most innovative Cochlear America hearing aids for the twins. Thank you for being a part of this important event for our girls.” Gail Szabo, Participant
